Le Vieux-Montréal

I had only 9 students in my grade 9 Immersion class this morning.  Many of them were attending an awards ceremony, but I went ahead as planned, for the most part.  I decided to skip my activity from yesterday where students were writing their own questions in the passé composé.  I find that those types of activities work much better with larger groups.

In my grade 11/12 class, we watched a 7-minute video on YouTube entitled “À la découverte du Vieux-Montréal”.  I thought that it gave a nice summary of the attractions that it has to offer.  I made up a worksheet for them and then we discussed which attractions they would like to see in Vieux-Montréal.

Here is the video:

Bonne fin de semaine à tous!

About Mme Martin

I am a high school French teacher in Ontario, Canada. I've been a teacher for the last 14 years and I love what I do. I am always looking for ways to improve my teaching by learning from my colleagues, reading, attending conferences and workshops. I also completed a Masters of Education degree, specializing in Second Language Acquisition. My goal is to increase students' oral fluency in French and I would like to share this journey with you in the hopes that you will find new ideas and be inspired to do the same. I will let you know what I try in my classes and what works and what doesn't. I hope you will find a wealth of ideas to use in your class.
